Hey All!I just posted some pictures of my first and hopefully not the last trip to my Uncle Layne and Aunt Betsy's Ranch in Central Idaho. I was just there last weekend and I wish I could have stayed longer. It's a beautiful valley of springs, with no trains, planes or automobiles anywhere.
The first day I rode up with Layne in my Cadillac. Once we got there we put a lazagna in the oven and then headed out on the 4-wheeler to sneak up on some wildlife. I took my camera and Layne couldn't find his binoculars so he settled on his gun with a fancy scope.
We found about 10 elk/deer. Also we came across a porcipine--but I was too flustered to get a photo in time.We also saw an owl but the pict came out fuzzy.
On our way back from checking out the wildlife and checking on the sprinklers Layne shot three jackrabbits.
We came back, I was covered in dust from head to toe and my eyes were red. I took a shower and we ate lazagna for dinner.
I went to bed around 11:30pm and Betsy and the kids came in around midnight.
Jay, Daniel, Kimberly, Eli, Eli's friend Jake and Cami were all there.
In the morning I went and took pictures of Jay, Daniel and Layne shoeing two horses.
Then they went for a ride. I went back to the ranch and mowed the lawn, and was super hot afterwords--thankgoodness there's a built in natual swiming pool in the back yard!
I went and swam with Eli, Jake and Cami. We ran back and forth from the pond to the hot tub for about 2 hours! So fun!
Later we ate dinner and watched the Hannah Montana 3D concert on the Disney Channel.
On Sunday we went to church at the branch in the valley and then I came home, ate lunch and then took off back to Boise.
I unpacked, washed some laundry and then headed to work at 10pm.
I wished I was still at the ranch!
